TEA TIME TASSIES 
3/4 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
3/4 c. chopped pecans
1 egg
1 tbsp. softened butter
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Dash of salt
Tart shells (recipe follows)

Combine first 6 ingredients. Spoon mixture into tart shells, filling 3/4 full. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Makes 2 dozen.

TART SHELLS:

1 c. plain flour
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/4 c. plus 3 tbsp. softened butter

Combine all ingredients, stir until well blended. Shape dough in 24 balls; chill. Place in greased 1 3/4 inch tart pans, shaping each ball into a shell. Makes 2 dozen shells.
