1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 1/4 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. M & M candy

Blend shortening and sugar. Beat in vanilla and eggs. Sift remaining dry ingredients. Add to sugar mixture. Mix well. Stir in M & M's. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown on an ungreased cookie sheet.
