SOUR CREAM COFFEE CAKE | |
2 c. flour (sifted) 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 c. butter 1 c. sugar 2 eggs 1/2 pt. cultured sour cream 1/2 tsp. almond extract 1/2 c. nuts Sift dry ingredients. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Add flour. Mix. Add sour cream, almond flavoring and nuts. Grease an angel food pan and put half of batter in. Make a mixture of 1/2 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Spread half of sugar mixture on first half of batter. Add rest of batter and sprinkle with remaining sugar mixture. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes. Let cool before removing from pan. |
