EASY STRAWBERRY PIE 
1 baked 9" pie shell
1 c. sugar
1 c. water
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 pkg. (3 oz.) strawberry Jello
1/2 tsp. almond extract
3-4 c. fresh strawberries

Mix 1 cup of sugar, 1 cup of water with 3 tablespoons cornstarch. Cook until thickened. Add 1/2 Jello package and 1/2 teaspoon almond extract. Cool slightly. Put fresh berries in baked pie shell. Put strawberry mixture on top. Serve pie with whipped cream. Serve 6-8.

Very, very easy and very, very yummy! I used a 16-oz. container of berries--and a 10-inch purchased graham crumb crust instead of a pastry shell. It was a hit with my husband and his mother.

I think this recipie is really amazing, but it is also very good if you freeze it, and add a bit more sugar. If you serve it frozen with fresh strawberries on top, its perfect :)
