1 c. sugar
1/2 lb. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
4 c. sifted plain flour
1 c. chopped nuts

Drop by heaping teaspoonful on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in 300 degree oven until brown. Probably about 30 minutes.
