APPLE - NUT BREAD 
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cloves
1 1/2 c. finely chopped apples
1/4 c. nuts
1/2 c. soft butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour an 8 inch loaf pan. Sift first 6 ingredients together. Mix half of the flour mixture with apples and nuts. Stir and set aside. In large bowl, cream butter and sugar. Mix in eggs. Add dry ingredients and stir. Add apple mixture and stir. Slowly add milk and vanilla, stirring until well combined. Pour into pan. Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean. Remove from oven and cool for 15 minutes. Remove from pan and cool on wire rack. Makes 1 loaf.
