JUMBO RAISIN COOKIES 
Add 1 cup water to 2 cups raisins and boil for 5 minutes. Cool. Cream 1 cup shortening and 2 cups sugar. Beat 3 eggs, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and 1 cup chopped nuts. Mix all these together.

4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. allspice

Add raisin mixture to dry ingredients; mix well. Drop by teaspoon on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes.
