CREAM CHEESE COOKIES 
1 c. butter
2 (3 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese, softened
1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
2 tbsp. milk
2 c. sifted all purpose flour
1/2 c. toasted flaked coconut
California walnuts

Cream together butter, cream cheese, sugar, salt, and vanilla. Add egg and milk; beat well. Add flour and stir in coconut. Drop from teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Top with walnut halves, if desired. Bake in slow oven (325 degrees) for about 20 minutes. Remove to cooling rack. Makes 5 dozen small cookies.
