WELSH COOKIES 
4 c. flour
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 3/4 c. sugar
1 c. butter
3 eggs
1 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. salt
4 tsp. baking powder (heaping)
1 c. raisins
1 tsp. vanilla

Soak raisins in hot water, drain. Combine flour, butter, salt, baking powder. Add fruit, eggs and vanilla. Roll into 4 rolls, refrigerate. Cut in 1/2 inch slices. Fry in lightly greased skillet, griddle turning only once. Sprinkle with sugar while warm.
