CHOCOLATE CHUNK COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 (8 oz.) Baker's semi-sweet chocolate cut into large 1/2 inch chunks

Beat butter, sugars, vanilla and eggs until light and fluffy. Mix flour with soda and salt; blend into butter mixture. Stir in chocolate chunks. Chill 1 hour.

Drop 2 inches apart by heaping tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool before removing from sheets. Makes about 2 dozen 3- inch cookies.
