FUDGE BARS 
1 cup butter
2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 cups oatmeal

Mix and pat 2/3 of this mixture in a greased 17x11 inch pan.

Filling:

1 (12oz) pkg. chocolate chips
1 can Eagle Brand Condensed Milk
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
1 cup nuts (optional)

Cook just enough to melt chips on low heat. Put filling on oatmeal mixture.

Dot by teaspoonfuls the remaining 1/3 oatmeal mixture on top of filling.

Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes.
