MARINATED PEPPER STEAK 
2 lb. steak
1 tbsp. soy sauce
2 tbsp. salad oil
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 onion
1 green pepper
2 stalks celery
1 tbsp. cornstarch
2 tomatoes
1/4 c. cold water

Cut steak into thin strips. Mix soy sauce, oil and garlic powder. Pour over steak and let stand 1 hour. Dice onion, pepper and celery. Heat oil in pan. Add steak mixture and brown it. Add vegetables and cook 5-10 minutes.

Dissolve cornstarch in 1/4 cup cold water and stir into mixture until sauce thickens. Add cut up tomatoes. Cover and cook until meat is tender (30 minutes).
