CHERRY-WALNUT BARS 
2 1/4 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. (each) butter, brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. (each) tsp. salt, vanilla, baking powder
10 oz. jar maraschino cherries, chopped and drained (reserve juice)
1/2 c. (each) chopped walnuts, coconut

FROSTING:

1 tbsp. soft butter
1 c. powdered sugar
Cherry juice

Mix flour, white sugar and butter until crumbly; press into greased 9x13 pan. Bake 12 to 15 minutes at 350 degrees or until crust is lightly browned. Mix next 5 ingredients, then add last 3 ingredients and mix well. Place on top of baked crust and bake another 25 minutes; cool; frost and cut into squares.
