CLAM CHOWDER 
2 onions, minced
3 tbsp. oil
10-12 lg. potatoes, cubed
1 lg. can tomatoes, mashed
2-3 stalks celery, chopped
1 can tomato soup
1 can minced clams
Salt and pepper to taste
Parsley

Brown onions in oil; add potatoes and enough water to cover. Simmer until potatoes are tender. Add tomatoes with liquid, celery and soup, stir in clams and seasonings. Simmer for 10-15 minutes. Sprinkle with parsley; serve.

NOTE: For best flavor let stand several hours before serving. Yields 10 servings.
