FRESH STRAWBERRY PIE 
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. water
3/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. corn starch
2 tbsp. white syrup
1 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry Jello
1 (8 inch) prepared crust
1 1/2 pts. strawberry, sliced
1 pkg. Cool Whip

Combine salt, water, sugar, syrup, and starch and boil until thickened and color is clear. Remove from heat and add Jello. Stir until Jello is completely dissolved. Add berries, pour into crust, chill. Top with Cool Whip, garnish with strawberries.

NOTE: This pie is equally delicious using peach flavored Jello and fresh sliced peaches.
