OATMEAL CARMELITAS 
Grease 9 x 12 pan.

1 c. flour
1 c. rolled oats
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. melted butter

Combine in large bowl to form crumbs. Put 1/2 in bottom of pan. Pat it down and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.

1 c. (6 oz.) chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Sprinkle over hot BAKED crust.

3/4 c. caramel ice cream topping
3 tbsp. flour

Mix together. Drizzle over top of nuts and chips. Pat crumbs over top and bake 15 or 20 minutes more. Cool, cut in squares.
