ROUND STEAK SAUERBRATEN 
1 1/2 lbs. round steak, cut 1/2 in. thick
1 tbsp. butter
1 envelope brown gravy mix
2 c. water
1 tbsp. instant minced onion
2 tbsp. white wine vinegar
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 bay leaf
1/2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. Worestershire sauce
Hot buttered noodles

Cut meat in 1 inch squares. In a large skillet, brown meat on all sides in hot butter. Remove meat from skillet, add gravy mix and water. Bring to boiling, stirring constantly. Stir in remaining ingredients except noodles. Return meat to skillet, cover and simmer for 1 1/2 hours. Stirring occasionally. Remove bay leaf. Serve meat over hot buttered noodles.
