MEXICAN CORNBREAD 
1 1/2 c. yellow cornmeal
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
2/3 c. oil
1 c. buttermilk
3 chopped jalapeno peppers
1 No. 3 can cream style corn
1 c. grated longhorn cheese

Mix all ingredients together in order listed except the cheese. Pour half of the batter in greased baking dish then half the cheese sprinkled on the batter. Add the rest of batter and cover with remaining cheese.

Bake at 350°F about 45 minutes or until done.
