CHERRY PUDDING 
1/2 c. sugar
Butter the size of a walnut
A little salt
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. milk
1 c. cherries or other fruit

Mix together as for cake; put batter in a buttered dish and over this put 1 cup cherries, 1/2 cup sugar and 1 cup boiling water. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 to 40 minutes.
