CRUSTY CHERRY PUDDING 
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. quick cooking oatmeal
3/4 c. butter
1 can cherry pie mix

Sift together flour, salt and soda. Add brown sugar and oatmeal. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press half oatmeal mixture into bottom of buttered 9 inch square pan. Spread cherry pie mix then top with remaining crumbs.

Bake in moderate oven (375 degrees) 30 minutes. Cut in squares. Serve warm or cold with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
