STUFFED CABBAGE LEAVES 
8-10 lg. cabbage leaves
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 c. rice or bread crumbs
1 egg
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 can tomato soup (1/2 can for meat)
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
3/4 c. water

Cook cabbage leaves in simmering water just until they will fold easily without cracking (2-3 minutes).

Meanwhile, combine ground beef, onion, rice or bread crumbs, egg, salt, pepper and 1/2 can of tomato soup. Place equal portions of meat in center of each cabbage leaf. Fold sides of leaf over meat; roll up and place down in a deep heavy skillet.

Combine soup and paste with water and pour over cabbage. Simmer covered 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours until cabbage is tender.
