QUICKY POT PIE | |
1 frozen pie crust in pie pan 1 pie crust top from ready made pie crust mix 1 pkg. frozen mixed vegetables 1 c. cooked chicken or turkey (or 1 can tuna, drained) 2 c. white sauce WHITE SAUCE: 3 tbsp. butter 3 tbsp. flour 2 c. milk Salt, pepper, poultry seasoning Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Take out frozen pie crust and set aside. Prepare pie crust top from ready made pie crust mix. Roll out crust between 2 pieces of wax paper. Cook frozen vegetables according to package directions. While vegetables are cooking, prepare white sauce. Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat. Add flour and blend using a whisk. Add milk and stir until thickens. Add salt and pepper and poultry seasoning to taste. Add chicken, turkey or drained tuna to sauce. When vegetables are done, drain and add to sauce. Blend and pour into pie crust. Peel back one side of waxed paper on pie crust top, place crust side down over pie, peel back remaining wax paper. Press edges and cut vents. Bake for 35 minutes. |
