SUGAR-TOP MOLASSES COOKIES | |
3/4 c. shortening 1 c. granulated sugar 1/4 c. molasses 1 egg 2 c. sifted flour 2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. cloves 1 tsp. ginger Cream shortening with sugar and molasses. Beat in egg. Add sifted dry ingredients. Mix until smooth. If desired chill for easier handling. Make 1 inch balls and roll in a bowl of sugar. Place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake 12 to 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Watch carefully, as they burn easily. |
