COLE SLAW WITH APPLES 
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. each vinegar & oil
1 tsp. salt
1 med. head cabbage, finely shredded
3/4 c. sour cream
1/3 c. raisins
2 apples, finely shredded, not peeled

Combine sugar, vinegar, oil, 1/2 cup water and salt. Mix or shake in covered container until sugar dissolves. Add cabbage and cover. Refrigerate a day or two. Before serving, drain cabbage in strainer. Add apples, sour cream and raisins. Toss well. Garnish with unpeeled apple slices.
