ELEPHANT EARS 
1 1/2 c. milk
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
6 tbsp. butter
2 pkgs. dry yeast
4 c. flour

Mix milk, sugar, salt and butter and heat until dissolved; do NOT boil. Cool to lukewarm. Add yeast and stir until dissolved. Add 2 cups flour at a time and beat until smooth. Put in greased bowl and cover with damp cloth. Let rise until doubled. Take chunks of dough, the size of golf balls, dip in flour and stretch to a 6 to 8 inch circle. Deep fry at 350 degrees. Fry and flip over until brown. Drain on paper towels. Spread with melted butter and sprinkle cinnamon and sugar over while still warm.
