CRUST: 1/2 c. butter 1/2 c. sugar 5 tbsp. cocoa 1 tsp. vanilla 1 egg 1 1/2 c. graham cracker crumbs 1 c. chopped walnuts ICING: 2 c. powdered sugar 1/2 c. soft butter 2 tbsp. milk 1/2 tsp. vanilla 4 oz. semi-sweet chocolate CRUST: Place butter, sugar, cocoa and vanilla in saucepan. Cook on medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Then add egg and mix well. Remove pan from heat and stir in graham cracker crumbs and nuts. Press crust into a 9x12 inch pan and refrigerate until crust is cold. ICING: Combine all icing ingredients, except chocolate, and beat well. Spread icing over cooled crust and refrigerate until chilled. Melt 4 oz. semi-sweet chocolate in top of double boiler. Pour melted chocolate over icing. Refrigerate until chilled. Cut into squares. Makes 1 dozen. |
