2 sticks butter 1 c. sugar 1 egg, separated 1 tsp. almond extract 2 c. flour Chopped nuts Cinnamon-sugar mixture Beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add egg yolk and almond and blend well. Stir in flour. Spread onto ungreased 15 x 10 x 1 inch jelly roll pan. Beat egg white until foamy and spread over dough. Sprinkle with nuts and cinnamon-sugar mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. When somewhat cool, slice in diagonal rows to form diamonds. Remove carefully with spatula. This is my favorite cookie recipe. It is fast to make and sooo good! |
