APPLEBUTTER 
4 qt. apples, cut up
1 c. water
3 c. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon

Core apples. Cut into slices or pieces. Cook with 1 cup water until soft. Put through a colander to 5 cups of mashed apples. Add 3 cups sugar, 2 teaspoons cinnamon (more if you like). Bring to boil and cook 5 minutes more. Put into clean, scalded jars. Seal with hot jar lids and rings. You can use less sugar. Taste before adding cinnamon.
