GRANDMA'S NUTROLL 
1 pkg. hot roll mix
1 c. flour
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 1/8 c. warm water

FILLING:

2 1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. milk
Pinch salt
1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Proof yeast from roll mix in water with a pinch of sugar. Stir in egg. Add roll mix and flour. Knead 5 minutes. Let rise until double. Roll out 1/2 of the dough to 13 x 14 inch rectangle. Spread with 1/2 of the filling and roll jelly roll style. Let rise 35 minutes. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or until golden. Brush with melted butter if desired.

Filling: Place nuts, milk, salt and sugar in small saucepan. Cook slowly and stir 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla. Makes 2 rolls.
