GRANDMA ILIFF'S BUNS - OLD
RECIPE
 
2 c. milk
1/2 c. butter or lard
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. warm water
3 eggs
1 tsp. salt
2 pkg. yeast
Flour

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Scald milk. Add lard or butter. Cool. Add sugar, salt, egg, and yeast. Add flour. Knead until smooth and not sticky. Let raise until double in bulk. Make into buns, coffee cake or cinnamon rolls. Let rise again before baking.

COFFEE CAKE:

Place in pan, sprinkle with cinnamon, pour cream over top. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.

CINNAMON ROLLS:

Roll into rectangle, spread with butter, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Roll like jelly roll. Bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees.
