CHICKEN WITH A BITE 
6 chicken thighs (can be skinned, if preferred)
6 new potatoes, sliced (with skins)
1 (16 oz.) can sauerkraut, rinsed and drained
1 c. apple juice
1/2 tsp. curry powder
1 tsp. ginger
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. raisins
Salt and pepper to taste
Oil

In a large skillet, fry chicken pieces in small amount of oil until brown. Add drained sauerkraut and potatoes. Mix apple juice of curry powder, ginger and brown sugar. Pour over chicken. Season of salt and pepper to taste. simmer for 45 minutes. Garnish of raisins and serve.

I was delighted to find this recipe. I had a copy from my husbands great aunt but misplaced it. I am not a sauerkraut fan but I love this recipe.
It's easy and reheats well.
