3 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/8 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
2 tbsp. butter
3/4 c. Karo
2 c. pecans

Combine all ingredients except pecans in a large pan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and continue stirring until mixture reaches a soft ball stage. Add nuts. Beat until mixture loses its gloss. Drop onto wax paper. Yield: 3 dozen.
