PICKLED EGGS 
1 doz. hard-boiled eggs
2 c. vinegar
1 c. water
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. mixed pickling spices
Red pepper (opt.)
Garlic clove (opt.)

Peel hard-boiled eggs and place in jar large enough to hold all the ingredients. Place red pepper and garlic in the jar with the eggs. Mix remaining ingredients in saucepan and simmer for about 5 minutes. Strain the liquid and pour over the eggs in the jar. Screw on lid and store in refrigerator until ready to eat. 2 to 3 days.
