KRIS KRINGLES 
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
2 tbsp. butter
1 egg
1 c. sifted confectioners sugar
Dash of salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. flaked coconut
1/2 c. chopped dry roasted peanuts

In a medium saucepan, melt chocolate and butter over low heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; cool to lukewarm. Beat in egg until smooth and glossy. Add confectioners sugar, salt, and vanilla; mix well. Stir in coconut and nuts. Chill. Form into a 10 inch long roll. Wrap and chill until firm, several hours or overnight. Slice 1/4 inch thick. Makes 40 slices.
