KRIS KRINGLES 
1 c. sugar
1 c. light corn syrup
1 c. peanut butter
6 c. Rice Krispies
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1 (6 oz.) pkg. butterscotch chips

Mix sugar and syrup in a 3-quart pan. Bring to a boil over moderate heat. Stir in peanut butter and cereal. Press into a buttered 13 x 9 pan. Let harden.

Melt chocolate and butterscotch morsels over hot water or in microwave. Stir until blended. Spread over cereal mixture. Chill for 5 minutes or until chocolate is firm. Cut into squares.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
