LARGE BROWNIES 
2 1/4 c. white sugar
1 3/4 c. vegetable shortening
1/2 c. white corn syrup
5 eggs (Egg Beaters can be used)
1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
3 c. flour
1/2 c. cocoa
Pinch of salt
2 tsp. vanilla

Cream together shortening, eggs, syrup and sugar. Add sifted flour, cocoa and salt. Mix in vanilla and nuts. Use 2 (9 x 13 inch) pans that have been greased and bake for 30 minutes at 300 degrees. Cool and frost with Minute Fudge Frosting.

MINUTE FUDGE FROSTING:

3 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk
1/4 c. butter
Pinch of salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix all ingredients except vanilla and bring to a full rolling boil. Boil for 1 minute. Add vanilla and stir. Remove from heat; let cool 2 minutes. Bet until it thickens. Frosting is thin but will set up nicely and there is enough for both pans. This is a good recipe BUT I have to add pecans to the frosting!
