CHINESE CHEWIES 
2 c. self rising flour
2 c. sugar
2 c. dates, cut up
2 c. chopped pecans
2 sticks butter
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and flour and vanilla; stir in dates and pecans. Bake at 350 degrees. Cut in squares and dip in powdered sugar while still warm.
