SAUSAGE ROLLS | |
1 lb Italian sausage with casing off 1 small onion 4 eggs 1/2 cup Romano cheese 1 lb fresh pizza dough Italian seasoning mozzarella cheese thick style Pan fry the sausage with onion until almost done, then add 2 eggs and cheese mix well, wait until sausage is cooled a bit so you don't scramble eggs add cheese and mix well. Roll out the pizza dough, (if you know how toss it a bit to loosen it up before rolling) place sausage mixture in the middle of the dough and roll it nice and tight fold in the ends and place on a sheet pan sprayed with can spray. Take remaining 2 eggs and scramble them to make an egg wash and lather the loaf with the wash. Season it with the Italian seasoning. Bake at 350°F for around 45 minutes, check at 30. Let cool 15 minutes and slice and serve with your favorite marinara sauce. Enjoy and give me feed back if you wish, it is a great recipe and very nice for holiday festivities.
