SAUSAGE ROLLS 
Any basic pastry recipe, prepare as for 2 crust

FILLING:

Owens or Jimmy Dean roll sausage (mild or to taste
Sage, to taste

Mash sausage in a bowl; add and mix sage to taste (1/8 to 1/4 small can). Roll pastry out flat in handful portions. Take a portion of sausage and roll into a "tootsie roll"; shape in your hands.

Lay sausage on pastry and bring pastry over sausage (pig in a blanket shape). Cut into bite size or slightly larger pieces. Pierce with fork. Place on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees or until sausage is cooked. Let cool. Makes 3-6 dozen.
