CROCK-POT TURKEY BARBECUE | |
turkey breast or small whole turkey chopped onions chopped carrots salt and pepper, to taste your-choice bottled barbecue sauce (or make your own) liquid smoke 1/4 tsp. cloves Rinse turkey, salt and pepper and place breast side up in Crock-Pot. Fill cavity with onions and carrots. Cook on HIGH for about 6 hours, until meat is tender. Remove turkey from pot and separate meat from bone and skin. Rough chop and return to drained Crock-Pot, reserving some of the cooking liquid. Add cloves and barbecue sauce, to taste. Add water if cooking liquid if not juicy enough. Keep warm in Crock-Pot.
