ITALIAN CREAM CAKE & FROSTING 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
5 egg yolks
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. coconut
1/2 c. chopped pecans
5 egg whites, stiffly beaten

Cream butter, shortening, sugar and egg yolks. Sift flour and soda together, add dry ingredients and sour cream alternately to butter mixture. Stir in vanilla, nuts and coconut. Fold in egg whites. Pour into 9"x13" pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

CREAM CHEESE FROSTING:

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/2 c. butter
1 lb. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped pecans
Coconut

Beat first 4 ingredients to spreading consistency. Frost, top with nuts. Trim edges with coconut.
