PENNY'S CARROT CASSEROLE 
12 carrots
1/2 c. butter (butter)
2 tbsp. instant onion
1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. celery seed
2 c. milk
1/2 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese
Bread crumbs, seasoned

Pare and slice carrots into sticks. Cook and drain. make cream sauce using all ingredients except cheese and bread crumbs. In a buttered casserole, layer carrots, cheese slices, ending with carrots. Pour sauce over all, sprinkle with seasoned bread crumbs. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until very bubbly.
