ITALIAN RED SAUCE 
4 cans whole tomatoes
1 can tomato paste
1 cans tomato sauce
1 onion, chopped
1 bell pepper, chopped
1 pkg. mushrooms, quartered
3 cloves garlic, crushed
2 tbsp. oregano
1 tbsp. basil
1 tbsp. sage
1 tbsp. rosemary
2 tsp. thyme
2 bay leaves
Salt & pepper
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/2 c. wine

Saute onion, bell pepper and mushrooms in olive oil, add all remaining ingredients. Simmer at least 2 hours. Options: 1 pound ground chuck and 6 links Italian sausage.
