LENTIL SOUP | |
1 lb. lentils, presoaked 5 or 6 c. water 2 smoked ham hocks 1 medium onion 5 carrots, cut up 5 stalks celery, sliced 1 clove garlic, minced 1/2 tsp. dried oregano 1 lb. can stewed tomatoes 2 tbsp. wine vinegar Soak lentils overnight. Next morning, add all other ingredients and cook in crock-pot on low for 8 to 10 hours or 5 to 6 hours on high. Before serving, salt, and pepper to taste. This is good served with garlic bread. |
