WHITE CHOCOLATE CAKE 
1/4 lb. white chocolate or 24 white chocolate stars
1/2 c. hot water
1 c. sugar
1 c. butter
4 egg yolks
2 1/2 c. cake flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. buttermilk
4 egg whites, gently beaten
1 c. coconut
1 tsp. vanilla

Melt chocolate in the 1/2 cup hot water; cool. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add egg yolks, 1 at a time, and beat well. Add cooled, melted chocolate to vanilla. Sift flour, soda, and salt together and add to mixture. Beat well and fold in beaten egg whites. Gently fold in coconut. Bake in pans lined with paper at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
