MONKEY BREAD 
4 tubes buttermilk biscuits (10 count each)
1 1/3 c. sugar, divided
1 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. cinnamon, divided

Cut each biscuit into 4 pieces. Mix together 2/3 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Put cinnamon mixture in a brown paper bag or container with tight-fitting lid. Drop 4 to 6 pieces of dough into the bag or container. Shake until each piece is coated with sugar-cinnamon mixture. Remove from bag; drop into a buttered tube pan. Repeat process until all pieces of dough have been used. In a small saucepan, melt butter. Add remaining 2/3 cup sugar, remaining 1 teaspoon cinnamon and vanilla. Bring to boil. Pour syrup over biscuit pieces in prepared pan. Bake in 350 degree for 40 minutes. Remove from oven; immediately invert baking dish on serving platter. Serve in place of coffee cake and sweet rolls.
