MARASCHINO CHERRY BARS 
2 c. flour
1/3 c. sugar
3/4 c. butter

Mix and press into 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.

FILLING:

2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
10 oz. Maraschino cherries, drain & chop, save juice
1/2 c. walnuts

Combine ingredients. Mix well and pour over crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.

FROSTING:

2 tbsp. butter
2 1/2 c. powdered sugar
3 to 4 tbsp. cherry juice
3 to 4 tbsp. coconut

Beat until light and fluffy. Spread frosting over cooled bars. Sprinkle with coconut. Cut into bars. Makes about 36 bars.
