1 pkg. dry yeast 1 c. warm water 1 tsp. sugar 2 tbsp. salad oil 2 1/2 c. self-rising flour TO PREPARE CRUST: Dissolve yeast in warm water; stir in sugar, oil and flour. Beat vigorously about 20 strokes. Allow dough to rest 5 minutes. SAUCE: 1/2 c. chopped onion 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce 1/4 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper TO PREPARE SAUCE: Combine onion, tomato sauce, salt and pepper; set aside. TOPPING: 1 lb. hamburger 1/2 lb. sausage 2 tsp. oregano 2 c. shredded Mozzarella 1 pkg. sliced pepperoni TO ASSEMBLE PIZZA: Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Divide dough in half. On 2 lightly greased 10 inch pizza pans, press each dough half out. Spread sauce on each circle. Sprinkle with oregano. Arrange drained hamburger mixture on top and sprinkle with Mozzarella cheese. Add pepperoni on top of cheese. Bake 20- 25 minutes or until crust is brown and filling is hot and bubbly. |
