BEEF AND BISCUITS 
1 lb. ground beef
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1 can cream of mushroom soup
Milk
1 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. shortening

Brown ground beef with onion in large skillet, stirring until crumbly; drain. Add soy sauce, soup and 1 soup can milk, mixing well. Simmer for several minutes.

Combine remaining dry ingredients in bowl. Cut in shortening until crumbly. Stir in 3/4 cup milk. Drop by spoonfuls into ground beef mixture. Simmer for 10 minutes. Simmer covered, for 10 minutes longer or until dough is fluffy. Yields 4 servings.
