MOM'S CHICKEN CASSEROLE | |
1/4 c. butter 1/4 c. flour 1/2 tsp. onion salt 1/4 tsp. white pepper 2 1/2 c. milk 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. salt 1 1/2 c. chicken broth 1 c. grated cooking cheese 2 c. chopped chicken 1 sm. can peas 1 med. chopped onion Melt 1/4 cup butter in pan. Add flour, milk, white pepper, onion, salt, and salt. Cook on medium until thick, keep stirring. In 2 quart baking dish. Combine 1/2 teaspoon salt, rice, and chicken broth. Stir in chicken, peas and onion. Add white sauce. Top with grated cheese. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes. |
